The Pike County Republican Party is proud to announce that United States Senator Pat Toomey has endorsed Republican candidates Richard Caridi and Matthew Osterberg for Pike County Commissioners.

Senator Toomey wrote:

“During these difficult times, we need leaders at all levels of government with the experience, judgment, and values to do what is right. This is why I offer my enthusiastic endorsement of the campaign of Richard Caridi and Matthew Osterberg for Pike County Commissioners.

Richard Caridi and Matthew Osterberg have a proven record of fiscal discipline and a lifelong commitment to Pike County both professionally and personally. With 50 years of combined community service, they have the ability to provide strong, effective leadership that is focused on the management of Pike County’s future. I am confident that Rich and Matt are the right choice for Pike County Commissioners and I look forward to working with them in the years to come.”

Senator Toomey was elected in 2010 on a platform of limited government, economic and job growth, and restoring fiscal responsibility. Since joining the Senate in January, he has distinguished himself as a leader on economic, financial services and budgetary issues, striving to restore fiscal discipline to Washington and economic opportunity for all Americans. Here in Pike County we are lucky to have two Republicans, Caridi and Osterberg, running for County Commissioner who also have a record of fiscal discipline.

The Republican Party urges everyone to vote for the Republican Ticket including Stabile and Covey statewide; Caridi, Osterberg, Tonkin, Gilpin, Fitzpatrick, Schroeder, Seaman, Foran, and Stroyan for the County-wide races and Nick Mazza for Blooming Grove Supervisor, Tom Ryan for Delaware Supervisor, Tom Mincer for Dingman Supervisor, John Sivick for Lehman Supervisor, Janet Clark for Matamoras Mayor, and the rest of the Republican nominees on September 8, 2011.
